To meet friends from out of town on Thursday eve for dinner. They have 3 kids (14 and 9 year old twins), I have 1 kid (7).
There are a lot of restaurant options in Georgetown - just not very many good ones, mostly overpriced tourist traps. If you want Fancy, Bourbon Steak at the Four Seasons is good. Thunder Burger is pretty good, with a decent beer selection. Do not, under any circumstances, go to one of the places marketed as "Italian."
Actually Ristorante Piccolo is very good and very tolerant of kids.
Serendipity 3
Paradiso Pizzeria may work, or, yup, Thunder Burger. In general, Georgetown eating places are kinda lame, imo, because so much is geared towards the tourist crowd. Or, try the Tombs - under 1789. A big Georgetown tavern right opposite the Exorcist Stairs. That would be fun, and expectations are low.
Clyde's would work.
The food there is awful, though it may be tolerant of kids. |
2nd Pizzeria PAradiso. Peacock Cafe is also very kid friendly.
The Tombs is a great idea!
Daily grill or clydes
Went to Pain Quotidienne, btw. Was very nice. Ate outside. They actually have a kids menu.
I highly recommend Il Canale. Delicious, and good mix of charming yet casual vibe.
Another vote for Serendipity 3! Its great! Just very small so you would want a reservation.
