But somehow I suspect you are NOT cool if the changing of hands involves Israelis being displaced, amirite?

And you are very self-satisfied telling others to deal with it, and to move on. Interesting, to say the least.

You are absolutely right. You win.

There’s no revelation in your response. It was apparent all along that you are a miserable hypocrite.

Hamas can end the war at any time, but sounds like you want war to continue for some reason with a goal in mind. You want the international community to acknowledge war crimes and such so that means you really think Hamas is fighting toward a goal--what's the goal that is so important that they are exposing Gazans to the so called war criminals?

What rules of war allow strip-searching children?

If there’s a reason to believe they are being used as child soldiers/martyrs, of course they can be strip searched.

Imagine the uproar if The Gaza Post ran an opinion column making a case for resettlement of Jews someone else.

https://www.jpost.com/opinion/article-779510

The facts demonstrate that the northern Sinai Peninsula is an ideal location to develop a spacious resettlement for the people of Gaza. Its open areas, along with the existing infrastructure, can easily host large-scale development projects that, if led by the Chinese and supported by local labor, for example, can easily mature in just one to two years.

Firm American and international guidance lined with financial and operative support can surely pave the way to this creative and prosperous solution and jointly help Egypt’s dire demographic and economic situation that is challenging its political authority. Israel will also be cooperative in sharing its hi-tech-oriented agricultural capabilities with Egypt as it did following the Peace Treaty in the early 1980s.

However, history has taught us that Gazans, despite their complaints about their humanitarian situation, may object towards genuine rehabilitation programs. This stubbornness substantially relies on their desire to destroy Israel, which repeatedly comes at their own expense. The ongoing obliteration of Hamas, which terrorizes Palestinian Authority officials and many Gaza residents, may pave the way to the emergence of the proposed Sinai solution, if presented in a wise and discrete manner that conforms to the Middle East mentality.

No one pays attention to opinion pieces no matter what medium.
I disagree with the idea above. Past actions are an excellent predictor of the future behavior. Palestinians took a very nice territory of Gaza farmland cities and all, and f*ed it up - they will do the same in Sinai or wherever, so why throw good money after the bad.

Land isn't handed out on a merit-based approach. I can decorate better than anyone on my street - should I go toss them out of their houses for that reason alone?

This is all moot because no one is handing out land like Halloween candy. No one is going to given Israel to the Palestinians. No one, but Palestinians is going to fight a war to take Israel and give it to them. All of the discussion on here about who deserves to have Isreal is a waste of time. Land can't be grabbed like a package off the porch.

No one is going to let them into the Sinai. Kuwait, Lebanon, Black September. Arab countries are not stupid, they would rather see Palestinians die than resettle in their countries and do what they did in Kuwait, Lebanon and Jordan.

Yes. Palestinians are completely f##ked. They just rejected an Egyptian brokered peace deal. Release the hostages. Hamas gives up power. War over. Easy-peasy.

And they said no. As they always do.

The Pope is criticizing Israel this weekend for its massive bombing of Gaza. Christians see how Israel is killing Christians in Gaza and the West Bank. Of course, the Muslim countries support the Palestinians, as do most other countries that bear the legacy of settler colonialism and discrimination against indigenous peoples.

The only thing propping up Israel is sophisticated weaponry and huge subsidies from the United States. The American subsidies will come to an end eventually - younger Americans have run out of patience with Israel and its utter indifference to non-Jewish life.

So Israel is basically on borrowed time and they know it. The more insecure they get, the more they lash out and kill indiscriminately, and the more the rest of the world hates them. It's a death spiral, and it's unfortunate that we have to watch in play out in real time, and on our dime.

Multiple Israeli officials have made it clear they want to drive all the remaining Palestinians in Gaza out. There's no "peace deal" that Israel would accept that would leave the Palestinians with any meaningful degree of self-determination. Israel wants a security buffer and has made it clear over the decades that it's prepared to subjugate millions of people and deny them basic human rights if it makes Jews who grew up in Europe and North America feel better about living in the Middle East on land owned by Palestinians prior to 1948.

Do you kiss your child with this lying mouth? Egypt presented a “vision” not a “deal”, and nowhere at all does it say Israel has agreed to this “deal”. Who would agree to this? Egypt is not a party to the war so how can it mediate without the backing of the parties? Where does it say Israel agreed?

It's not the job of other countries to aid and abet Israel's ongoing displacement of Palestinians from their homes.

So they would rather see then suffer and die? Europe took in millions of Syrian refugees. Arab countries did not. Europe opened its borders to Ukrainians within days of the war onset. Palestinians are screwed because they pissed off everyone in the region by aligning with Iran, Hizbollah and Asad. Jordan remembers Black September, Lebanon does not want another civil war largerwly started by Palestinians and Kuwait remembers how it had to expel 400,000 of Palestinians. Saudis are pissed because their peace deal with Israel is now dead. They have no friends but Iran and the Arab countries are tired of Iran’s meddling. Qataris will likely expel Hamas to Turkey (no one else will take them) and Turkey got willing will revert back to normalcy once Erdogan is dead.
