I've read a bunch of posts about hospitals in the area (I'm new) and I'm thinking Holy Cross sounds good, esp since it has level 3 NICU and seems to support breastfeeding (both important to me). I live in Chevy Chase. Does anyone have a recommendation for an OB who delivers there who takes BCBS?
Thanks! |
OBGYN Associates are located in the medical building attached to HC Hospital. 301/681-6772. They have both male and female OBGYNs. All the docs (and nurses, and in-house sono techs, lab, etc.) are great, but I prefer the bedside manner of the more seasoned (RE: older, veteran) male doctors (Jacobs and Kleinman) (the female OBs are Morales, Behram and Novak). I've had two kids with the practice -- and so have my sisters and many of our friends and colleagues -- it's a great practice. |
Dr. Richard Footer - he has an office in Bethesda. |
Tyau and Sine (Female) Resta, Band, and Lizardo (Males) in Silver Spring on Georgia Avenue 1 mile from HCH. They are excellent. Delivered my 1st and am seeing them while pregnant with my second. |
Capital Women's Care -- the practice with Travers and Seidel. |
I second PP's suggestion of the Capital Womens Care practice with Travers, Levitt, Seidel, et.al. I really like their practice, and they definitely take BCBS. |
I second this. They are also a Capital Women's Care practice. Resta had just come on board when I delivered last year, and Lizardo has come since then, but I've met and liked the others. Dr. Band was my main doc, and Dr. Tyau ended up delivering my son. And everyone I dealt with at the office was wonderful when I went through a miscarriage prior to that. |
I second OB-GYN associates. LOVE them!!! Delivered both of my children... I love DR Novak but they are all awesome. |
