Anyone know much about this neighborhood? We like the security guard and gated community aspect, not to mention Mann ES but would love to hear more. Are there many kids?

What do you like about the gated community aspect? That is extremely unusual for DC, in any case.

It's one of the more moderately priced locations zoned for Mann.

AU will be building a new dorm on the adjacent parking lot soon.

If you buy, make sure you aren't near the asshole white haitian family that lives there.

I have friends who live there and they seem to like it and have kids. Close to everything, though they aren't thrilled about the new AU dorm coming in next door.
Haven't heard about the white haitian family- do tell!
