Annadale HS/Woodson HS boundary changes

I did not follow this very closely as we live in the district right now, but we are thinking of moving to the area between braddock rd and Little river turnpike just outside the beltway (Canterbury Woods, Red Fox Forest, etc.). Are these areas slated to go to Frost and Woodson? Our realtor seems confused and told us that the FFX county school boundary locator is not updated for next year and might not reflect where these houses will be attending school.
Is there a final decision and how do I see where a particular house is zoned for the 2012-13 school year. Just want to make sure we make an informed home purchase. Thanks! |

Look at the maps available at this link. Nothing outside the Beltway that's north of Braddock and south of LRT is assigned to Annandale starting in fall 2012.

I would call FCPS and ask.
http://boundary.fcps.edu/boundary/ NOTE: On July 28, 2011, the School Board approved the Annandale Regional Study which 1) established an attendance area for the new elementary school at the Lacey Site and, 2) changed the school attendance areas (boundaries) beginning in the 2012-13 school year for the following Elementary, Middle, and High Schools: Elementary: Annandale Terrace, Beech Tree, Belvedere, Woodburn, and the new school at the Lacey Site to open in 2012 Middle: Frost, Glasgow, Holmes, Jackson, and Poe High: Annandale, Edison, Falls Church, Stuart, and Woodson The boundary locator system does not reflect these changes because the changes will be implemented in the school year 2012-13 Please call the Boundaries Information Line at 571-423-2330 to confirm current and future school assignments for these schools. |

| 12:11 here - the maps I linked to reflect the final adjustments approved by the School Board. They are not yet reflected, however, in the FCPS boundary locator system. |
