Holy crap. BFP while on lupron shots.

I started lupron shots for an IVF cycle over a week ago. Never got my period. Just tested and have a BFP. Which is shocking given my history. We did have sex but I didn't even think about using protection. Has this happened to anyone?

Lupron is a Category X drug. I'm freaking out.

Holy crap. Well, first...congratulations! And, I also would be freaking out. I don't think there's anything you can do right now besides wait and hope from the best (and clearly do some prenatal testing if called for.)

But allow yourself to feel some joy, too.

have you checked with your re? and are you sure drugs couldnt cause a false positive?

People do get pregnant on Lupron. Call your RE, go in for a beta and more than likely he/she will start you on progesterone support. Try to relax, you didn't do anything harmful yet.

I don't think lupron can cause a false positive.

It's so early that I bet you're ok.

I've come across this a few times on message boards and everything has ended up fine in those cases. I asked my nurse about this once and she also said Lupron generally doesn't harm anything. Congratulations and good luck!

Congratulations! I'm pretty sure it's too early to harm anything--but you do want to stop the Lupron and start progesterone!
