If it helps, my daughter has been in daycare since she was three months old and had a really hard time transitioning from the toddler class to the twos class - it took her a week to adjust. Lots of kids have trouble with transitions, and good teachers are used to it and have tricks to help make a child feel more comfortable. What drew you to the center you chose? Are there particular things you can hype up to your child to try to get him excited, like perhaps music time or art time? Is there something that comforts him at home that you could tell his teachers about so they can try it at daycare? You might also ask about bringing something comforting from home, at least for a little while. Good luck!
