Progestrone levels while on suppositories(prometrium)-IVF pregnancy

Anonymous
I was just wondering if your doctors check your prgestrone level during the first few weeks of pregnancy if you were on progestrone supplements? The this is that I am currently 5 weeks pregnanct via IVF, and I have absolutely no symptoms(brest tenderness, nausea, fatigue, etc). So I was wondering if this could be a sign of low progestrone levels because I know my HCG is rising nicely. My doctor didnt check my progestrone levels, I gusess becasue I am on Prometrium suppositories so it probably wont make sense to check the levels. Any thoughts?

Thank you,

In my experience they don't check progesterone levels when you've done IVF. They assume that they are sufficient with the supplementation.

I think if you are doing the pio shots they check your blood levels. ( mine does) mi impression is that suppositories show up in blood tests, but go directly to uterus.

ugh, sorry for typos. Darn phone. I meant:

My impression is that suppositories DON'T show up in blood tests, but go directly to uterus. Therefore they can't detect it (or get as good reading) from teh blood test.

Shady Grove does not check but I know other clinics that do.
