I was just wondering if your doctors check your prgestrone level during the first few weeks of pregnancy if you were on progestrone supplements? The this is that I am currently 5 weeks pregnanct via IVF, and I have absolutely no symptoms(brest tenderness, nausea, fatigue, etc). So I was wondering if this could be a sign of low progestrone levels because I know my HCG is rising nicely. My doctor didnt check my progestrone levels, I gusess becasue I am on Prometrium suppositories so it probably wont make sense to check the levels. Any thoughts?
Thank you, |
| In my experience they don't check progesterone levels when you've done IVF. They assume that they are sufficient with the supplementation. |
| I think if you are doing the pio shots they check your blood levels. ( mine does) mi impression is that suppositories show up in blood tests, but go directly to uterus. |
ugh, sorry for typos. Darn phone. I meant: My impression is that suppositories DON'T show up in blood tests, but go directly to uterus. Therefore they can't detect it (or get as good reading) from teh blood test. |
| Shady Grove does not check but I know other clinics that do. |
