is that normal? she wants to meet me tomorrow late morning to decide if should do a 3 day or 5 day transfer (tomorrow will be 3 days).. should i be worried? is this common practice? I have 6 fertilized eggs

I would think they would just look at the embryos and make a decision or recommendation based on that. Maybe the RE wants to discuss the options and let you make the decision? That's probably it. Maybe also to discuss how many to put in.

My doc called on day 3 and told me that they pushed me back to a day 5 transfer. I told him I wasn't sure if I wanted to be pushed back. We had a phone conversation and I ultimately decided day 5 but I did not have to go into the office to have that discussion. It was a 5-10 minute conversation.

How good is the lab at your clinic? My doctor told me that my 3 embryos all looked good so they were confident at least one would make it to a blastocysts. In the end, two made it to blastocyst. One was behind and I 'm not sure it became a blastocyst but it didn't meet the clinic's criteria for being frozen.

For one of my transfers, they called me on day 2 and said it would be a day 3 transfer. Then they called me back (I think on the morning of day 3) and said that it would be a day 5 transfer. Then on day 5 they changed it to a day 6 transfer. I spent that whole week worrying whether that was good or bad and never actually talked to my doctor about it (my nurse was calling me with the updates), but I ended up getting pregnant that cycle (transferred 2, pregnant with singleton, and had 2 left over to freeze). I think when they push it out, they do that because you have enough good embryos that they can wait and see which ones are doing the best, so I would view this development as a good thing. Best of luck.
