| This place is great man...love watching this dude talk to himself. |
| And if you think Loudoun United is DCUs second team...think again. DCU sold their controlling interest in Loudoun when MLS and USL cut ties as USL is now trying to establish itself as a legitimate competitor to the MLS. So DCU could no longer own a USL franchise. When they sold their interest in Loudoun they now have no second team. Which essentially means there is no true pro pathway at DCU. If you're not ready for the first team at U19. You're out. Which means, 9 times out of 10 you have no chance. You have to leave DCU, which will be harder because they own your rights and want money, haven't developed you since you've been there, and have limited your exposure. Best option then is usually college. Which basically means that you spent time in their system just to get the same net result as most other kids in normal high school. And NOW they want you to PAY??? 🤣. It's seriously a joke. There are just too may reasons to list as to why DCU is just a terrible decision for a player if they have true pro ambition. |
And we love watching you respond with nothing every time he posts something that is actually really good info.. |
| DS was dropped including 14 others from 2010 group, why would they do this at this time too late try out for other teams. |
14??!! that's half the roster, right? I'm sorry. I'm sure you're son will end up in great spot. All squads save a spot or two for late adds of exceptional players. the $4K you'll spend in club fees is better than the $10K you would have spent on sub-par school. |
Because DCU is a true piece of trash that has no regard for the kids or the families |
Truth. Treat this as a blessing in disguise. DCU is not worth your or your son's time. They will constantly disappoint you just like they have done to our entire region. |
Dropping 14 kids is A LOT. What real club, with real development methodologies and proper scouting drops 14 kids that they recruited?? Yes, a handful a season getting dropped is about the norm but triple that is insane sorry you're having to deal with this. |
Maybe some of those kids voluntarily left because of the pay to play system now in place. |
Sorry you guys are going through that. I would try reaching out to outside academy scouts. If your kid was picked up by DCU, he is also on the radar of outside academies. Downside is that he will be living away from home. Good side is that he escaped the cesspool that is DCU. If he is on their protected list, file an appeal asap to get him off. Good luck! |
This is true but not 14, more like 8 for 2010, other age group like 3. They are promoting 4 2011 up, that’s who took the spots. those who didn’t start past weekend against other academy was booted. We knew weeks ago, my ds ask could try out with other academies said he is on protected list WTF |
He budget keep these kids to develop them? Why take them first place? |
Have you spoken with DCU to get him off the list? If they refuse, you could file an appeal with MLS. |
|
Let me guess, big strong and connections. Never change

14 or 41? |
