Why do you delete posts for calling people idiots who clearly post insensitive nonsense

but keep all the posts where people call each other bitches and worse? Seriously those are way more offensive. Why not delete those too? What is your criteria for censorship?

I didn't delete a post for calling a person an idiot. I deleted a post that was inappropriate and then had to delete the response to that post. The response called the poster of the original post an idiot. The response was no longer necessary once the original post had been deleted.

Darn. I look away for an hour and something exciting happens on DCUM. I wasn't aware of an idiot-calling current thread.

I think it was on the TTC website. My post (after the "idiot" calling post) was deleted.

If I offer a nasty retort, such as calling you a flipping asshat, and it gets deleted, is it like I never called you an asshat in the first place? (PS-that's asshat, not asset). Sort of like tertiary internet guilt absolution?
