My DS is 9 so discussed nighttime accidents wirh his ped. He referred us to a clinic at Children's NMC. Anyone have experience there or suggestions on what to expect?

My daughter's ped wrote a book on bedwetting, I'd start there rather than Children's. Friends have done consults on the issue and all made good progress and were pleased. Boys esp like Dr. Bennett.
Dr. Howard Bennett at Chevy Chase Peds, close to Politics & Prose, 5225 Connecticut Ave. NW. 202-363-0300 http://www.amazon.com/Waking-Up-Dry-Children-Bedwetting/dp/1581101562 Good luck! |
If this a new problem, then please have doc rule out Type 1 diabetes.
Nope, not new. We were hoping he would grow out of it but at this point feel like we need to investiage further.
Did you try the little instrument that is attached to the kid's underpant. When it gets wet it will beep and wakes up the kid. I forget the name of the instrument. Our DD still wet bed when she was 7. At that point we decided it a time to put a stop. The instrument worked like a charm. I think she completely stopped wetting after a month or so.
