Does anyone have a recommendation for a good gynecologist In NW DC or Bethesda, MD? I'm 50 and done with having kids, so OB isn't a requirement.
Thanks. |
| I posted the same question a few weeks ago looking in the Tysons area. I don't think I got any responses. Don't know if the non-child bearers are not DCUMers or if GYN-onlys don't exist. |
| OP here. PP, good to know. DCUM is certainly skewed to the childbearers. Maybe I should cross-post on 50 and over Forum? Anyway, I think there are docs who do just Gyno. My sister in law is one (but unfortunately she's in NJ). |
| I like Dr Amy Kesselman. She has offices in Bethesda and NW DC. I only switched from her when I got pregnant because she wasn't doing OB anymore, just GYN. |

I recommend Drs. Powers and Bergin in Friendship Heights. Their office is within walking distance of the Metro. I've been a patient for years and like their staff, too. Dr. Bergin is my gyn and detected two cancers.

| Same boat as OP. I've found it really difficult to search for gyn w/o ob. They seem to always be listed as ob/gyn. Is there a different specialy for gyn-only? Or post-childbearing women's issues? I'd prefer NVa area but I'll check out these recs. |
Bergin was monstrous to me. I wouldn't let him touch my nether regions in a million years. |
Anyone in Reiter Hill!

They both look really creepy to me. Something off of to catch a pedophile. |
| Lori Kaler in Bethesda. |
| OP here. Thanks for the suggestions! |
| Dr. Julian Safran at Capital Women's Care on K Street. He's great! |
| I'm not 100% sure but i think Dr. Vivian Fraga does only GYN. I highly recommend her. She's in friendship heights. |
