How long did you take off for maternity leave?

| I'm trying to decide how long to take off for maternity leave. |

4 months. I would have taken more time off with leave without pay-but I was needed. I went back part-time and plan to keep my part-time status for a long time

| 6 months. The baby started sleeping longer through the night and I was so ready for some adult interaction. |

| 3 full months (paid), then the remainder of the next month unpaid (so, DC was born on the 10th, which means she was almost 4 months when I went back). I went back part time. |

| 4 months, all paid (although I am slam out of sick leave now). I wanted to take another month or two unpaid but, as with a previous poster, I was needed and went back as scheduled. |

| I am planning on taking 3 months, I would take 4 but the whole three months is unpaid and I don't think we could afford to take another month off. I will be going back 32 hours/week. |
