MAGA keeps saying Trump is “saving taxpayers money” and “paying down the national debt.” If that were true, why did the U.S. national debt just surpass $38 trillion, a record high in American history. So where are the so-called “savings”? The truth is, there are none. Despite the rhetoric, the government is spending more and borrowing faster than at any point in U.S. history, even as critical public services are gutted and oversight is weakened. This is going back to the beginning of the year (Breeze Airways was in Feb) whereas your prior post was just a couple of days. The net matters. Net private sector jobs were down in the last ADP report. Random anecdotes going back to the beginning of the year do not matter vs if the net is we are losing private sector jobs. |
