It all boils down to who you play. Some teams have easy schedules, and some have hard schedules. It is that simple.

It’s to “whom” you play and I agree 100 percent, bad grammar aside. Pride and Stars each had ridiculously easy schedules. That said, they are where they are and good luck to them.

M&D had the toughest first 5 games of anybody; no question. I didn't hear them complain either. And, sure, Pride and Stars have more favorable draws. That said, teams can only play who the schedulers put in front of them-- I wouldn't take anything away from any of these teams. Today, both VA teams in NGLL A bowed up and won big games. Earlier this season, Pride's spread with Hero's Green was the same as M&D's today. Let's look at it this way: the 8-team playoff allows for it all to be settled on the field, without multiple 6-2 teams missing out on goals like last year, and allows for M&D to make the playoffs even with 3 losses. Seems fair. Good luck to all--especially the NOVA teams punching up.

Pride is a very good team that could win it all. Stars is lucky to be where they are.

Coppermine or Hero’s are winning it all, that’s it.

Mnd had goals not counted for another week. Happened in the crush game as well. Hero’s won majority of draws and mnd still kept it close. Really good game.

I recall one goal where the ref called a penalty before the girl shot that went in. Newsflash: there is no continuation in lacrosse. That’s the rule. Even if it did count, they still would’ve lost.

That’s a shame. MDU had much more difficult schedule.

But all MDU East had to do was beat Stars and they would be in playoffs. It’s what you do on the field that matters. Stars won a game they were big underdogs in and clinched a playoff spot along the way. Every competitive team no matter the schedule had a chance to get away with just 3 losses and vie for a playoff spot (see M&D Black). Kudos to the Stars girls for stepping up and taking what looks to have been a great game away from MDU East.

Enjoy it while it lasts because it will not last long when you play Coppermine in the first round.

It does not seem likely that Stars would play Coppermine in the first round.

It will likely be Crush, a great team playing very well, but thanks.

Your welcome. Regardless, you will not be seeing the second round.

Sky Walkers is likely the 7th seed; FCA just needs to beat M&D West and MC Elite to grab the 8th spot. They don't need to beat Sky Walkers.

Everyone else likely to have 4+ losses. Only other team with a longshot at the 8th seed is 3D MD, but I don't see a third upset of MDU East in the cards. CCL won't beat both Crush and M&D Black which is what they would need to finish at 5-3.

Agree. Not a Stars parent but it gets old. Congrats to them for beating a good MDU east team. Move on.

Do not look past Pride or Crush. Both are playing top level lacrosse and have loads of momentum.

The 2028 board is the liveliest of all the graduation years by far. Kudos to all the parents that make this such an interesting and fun board.

I wish all the other graduation years were this lively

You may lack the discernment to separate the wheat from the chaff. This thread works pretty well when the trolls are ignored or dismissed. Lots of good dialogue this year.
