How much do you spend at Target per month (avg)?

| I find Target to be a black hole in my budget and attempts to track spending. I average a monthly trip to Target - I buy household supplies there like hygeine products, cleaning products, etc. I also buy organization stuff, some clothing, stuff for the kids (but not diapers or other baby supplies), etc., as well as groceries that are not stocked at Whole Foods. It's so hard to categorize the money spent at Target! According to Mint, over the past 2 years, we have spent about $4k just at Target, so that averages to about $170/month. Just trying to figure out if that is normal, high, low, whatever. |

I think that is about my average. I've been limiting myself to once a month since the begining of the year. Still it's $80-100 trip.
It's the closest non-grocery store to my house and I love it. |

| I quit shopping at Target and started ordering everything from soap.com. I'm much less likely to buy things that aren't on my list that way. When I was shopping at Target, I always seemed to throw in a cute pair of pj's for me or the kids, or decide that maybe we need a steam carpet cleaner for our rugs, or pick up some new books or movies. Soap.com is much less tempting that way! |

Same here! And, now, I spend MUCH less a month on household/beauty supplies (how I used to categorize target trips). |

I've cut my Target spending as well. I was easily spending $300/month, until I limited my trips there. I was also buying useless crap...
My husband and I have mapped out a grocery shopping routine in the attempts to limit the last minute running to the store trips by meal planning (not to the tee but close enough). To be completely honest, Target is really cheap for groceries. The meat and veggies are less than desired (not good selection and poor quaitly fruits), but we try to buy organic for thsoe things anyway. Just putting it out there that what would normally cost me $120 at Giant costs me $85 at Target. |

| Well I spend about $100 a trip (last trip $160- ugh) but I figure it's cheaper at Target than elsewhere- is stuff like makeup/hygiene/cleaning products cheaper at soap.com??? |

| I love Target. I spend at about $200 a month there but it's stuff I need. I try to keep myself to no more than 2 trips a month. Otherwise I'm buying stuff I dont need. |

I'm a SAHM and sometimes take the kids there just to get out of the house- and our budget suffers when I do. I'd say right now we spend around $300-$400 a month there, especially since they started carrying groceries.
It really is crazy how you can go in for $30 worth of things and walk out spending >$100. |

| I spend about $700 a month a Target, but that's because I do all my shopping there save for fruits and veggies. I get those at Whole Foods. We're a family of 6. |

| It's around $100/month (toiletries, first aid, clothes for the kids, some for me, gift wrap and extra stuff). I used to spend more before I bought diapers/wipes from amazon, now I go much less frequently. Why does Target have that magic that makes you spend so much money there?? |

| I used to spend about $250 a month. Now I limit trips and only buy what is on my list. I've cut back to closer to $100 a month. |

| We probably spend $600-$800 a month there. We're a family of four and buy 80% of our groceries, all household products, some clothing, baby gear, and gifts there. The other sinkhole in our budget is Amazon.com! |
