HI everyone. I have been a SHM for the past 3 years. My husband is not making enough money to support us anymore. I do still want stay home and take care of my children...but I cant seem to afford it! I prefer to at least work from home. PLEASE if you know of any legit work from home jobs PLEASE let me know! I am in desperate NEED!

Maybe you are a stay at home mom who works from home part time? What do you do? Can you share? Im not asking for anyone to HAND me money. Im very hard working and quick learner and willing to try anything legit that will bring in extra income.

Thank you so much!

See if leapforce @ home could be useful in your circumstance.

I stayed home for 3 years with 4 kids. Now I am back to work. You can do it if you have to.

what did you do beforehand? I have a friend who makes extra money on the side doing freelance editing. I have other friends who are crafty and make money selling jewelry and such.

Could you get a night or weekend job to help out?

And is there anywhere else you can cut?

There is a tremendous need for daycare in this area, especially for infants. Why not take another baby or toddler into your home during the day? You could make several hundred dollars a week.

What kind of skills do you have?

Did this just hit you, like some sort of suprise/wake up call?

I would visit a career center:

Stay at home jobs are tough to come by. They usually are created once you've put in some time with your employer and they trust you to not abuse this privilege.

With that said, the only job that I can think of isn't really stay at home, but it doesn't require a routine schedule. Retail merchandising. Card companies do it...you basically go in and restock greeting cards at various locations. It can be done anytime of the day and/or the weekends.

Look at CraigsList or maybe simplyhired. The job doesn't pay much, but it's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

You could even work at a restaurant in the evening a few nights a week.
There are a ton of restaurants around this area, the work is flexible and the pay is good.

You leave every night with cash in your pocket.

I wouldn't let someone watch my DD if they also had their children with them. I just wouldn't feel that my child would get equal treatment and I'd feel that her needs would come secondary to the childcare provider's child.

It's probably a baseless opinion, but there it is.

Also, and this has been mentioned MANY times on this board, no one is going to let you work at home without childcare. If your kids are in school all day and you can work from home for those hours, that could work. But you will need some form of childcare if you have kids at home. You can check flexjobs, 10til2, momcorps, flexforce professionals, etc. to see if they have anything.

Op, some of these suggestions are really good! Good luck!

Start a Personal Organizer business. Help moms with organizing playrooms and nurseries. A childproofing business is another option.
