Brain development research study in healthy children, adolescents and young adults.

The National Institute of Mental Health is conducting a one day outpatient research study to
examine the effect of genetic and environmental factors on brain development.

You or your child may qualify if you or your child is:
• between 4 and 25 years of age.
• medically healthy.
• free of learning disabilities and psychiatric conditions.

Research study procedures include a brief physical examination, brain imaging, and tests of
learning and memory. The research study takes about 4 to 6 hours on an outpatient basis at the
NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. There is no charge for research study procedures.

Volunteers will be compensated for their participation.
Transportation assistance/reimbursement provided.
