Appendicitis

| Has anyone's young child had appendicitis? I think my five year old has it. He has been complaining of pain around his belly buttom for weeks now, he is as white as a sheet and he had two very high fevers recently. (No fever now but still very pale.) I have taken him to his regular pediatrician several times, but all they do is test him for strep over and over. I am going to a new pediatrician this afternoon at 3, but I was wondering if anyone whose kids have had appendicitis can tell me what the symptoms were, how the doctor diagnosed it and how the recovery went. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| My son had one. We checked the white count in his blood ..... it spiked up indicating an infection. It was not something that lingered for more than a day or 2. Hope you're doing well! |

| Second pediatrician ruled out apendicitis. DCis going to the lab next week for blood work to find out what it is. Thanks very much. |
