any one had a low hcg level beta testing after IUI? I mean very low, as in less than 30
|
| I did after an IVF. For me it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. I hope it works out for you. |
| Yes-11 days post iui my beta was 9!! It tripled in 48 hours and tripled again for the 3rd beta. 6 week appt saw heartbeat and released to midwives. He is 2 weeks tomorrow and sitting on my lap. I think I just had late implantation or a slow starter. I know someone else who started with a 7. I don't want to give false hope but you never know. Good luck I know it is nerve racking! |
How many days past iui are you? |

All of the pregnancies that they show on the chart ended up having a heartbeat. It's definitely possible that everything will be okay. Rooting for you OP! |
| Hang in there, OP! Think of all the millons of babies that may have started as single-digit HcG positives, but noone was testing the mother so early. Anything can happen, so channel that worry and energy into all the positive images you can muster. I know that's easier said than done, but it can't hurt and it might help. Big hugs and lots of warm vibes to you. |

OP here, the initial beta was done 14 days post IUI.
Thank you all for your detailed responses, I hope things change for me on my second beta. They told me "don't get excited yet" and "its a big deal that my HCG was that low". I guess I should be worried so I feel worried. At this point, I am thinking I am not fully pregnant till I hear a heart beat. |
| OP when is your next beta? If your first beta was on the 28th, they must have done another test today! Keep us posted and best of luck. |
| OP--do you have an update? |
|
Mine was 56 and they said don't get excited. I had about 5-6 chemical pgs so I was used to it by then. That was the pg that stuck for me.
If you end up with a chemical, ask your doc about baby aspirin, b vitamins and other options. good luck! |

OP here
Thank you all for sharing your stories. So I just miscarried at 5 weeks or so according to my doc. My hcg levels went from very low to steady high. But when I went on to my 6 week ultrasound? My doctor said sac was too small, thus no viable pregnancy could be detected. That day my hcg level was about 1100, which is low. My hcg today was 100 which is good as my body is adjusting back to normal. I am sad to have lost it, but realize it was not meant to be. |
