Weed ID ? and how to get rid of it?

We have some plant looking things in the back yard that are about 6-8inches high, and if you agitate them by brushing past them, the little leaves shoots out what appear to be seeds. It's like little bombs going off.

What the heck is it and how to get rid of them?

chick weed, once you do your first vut it will cut them back and they will be gone.
