I am trying to figure out what I can get in the way of super hero cakes for my 4 year old son's birthday.
Is there an online resource for this, or do I have to go to the store and talk to the bakery? I've never ordered one before so this is new territory for me. thanks! |

Funny I was just looking at Giant's cakes online. Go to the website, pick a store, then the bakery and there's a ton of specialty cake pics you can look through.
I've heard safeway is good too, but comparing our local giant vs safeway the bakery seems more promising at giant. |
just be aware that it varies by store (even the same line of stores). If your giant doesn't have many, online look at another giant near you; the variation depends on whether they have an onsite bakery or not. |
| seriously, giant and safeway cakes suck. Costco are much tastier if you want the grocery store route. You can just as easily add little toy superheroes to the top and then the bday kid gets to keep them. |
| anyone have opinions on harris teeter cakes? |
the shit cakes |
*sheet cakes |
| With my local Safeway, if I bring in a picture of what I would like on the cake, they can make virtually anything. |
lol, this made me laugh. I'm bumping to see if anyone else has any input. |
| the shit cakes are awesome |
Shit cakes are a bit sweet I think while foods is good |
| I find the HT sheet cakes hit or miss (depending on location) but overall much better than Giant and Safeway. Our location will decorate however you like, even if it's not in their book. Not sure if there are any issues with licensed characters though. |

| My son had the batman on a motorcycle cake from Giant and it was a huge hit. Tasted great and I was thrilled that "learning to cake decorate" was not included in my party prep. |
