Anyway, Jason Miller is originally from Scranton, PA. He wrote a play "That Championship Season", of which he won a Pulitzer.

Because of the way he treated his wife, Jackie Gleason had him blackballed in Hollywood.

He returned to Scranton, was a falling down alcoholic who was mocked by people at the bars (Farley's, for those Scrantonians reading this), until he finally passed away.

It's was really sad to see.

Jason Patric has been a working actor for 30+ years

Was that who Julia Roberts ran off with when she ditched Keiffer at/before their wedding?

I think so. I forgot how kind of messed up Julia Roberts was romantically — remember her surprise marriage to Lyle Lovett? And her underwhelming wedding style—

I went to college with him and we were both very active in the a capella scene there. His singing was obviously very good. But his songwriting was really amazing

Interesting. She told everyone she was Italian. Where I'm from, biracial people say they are Native American or Melungeon.

Because she is.

It’s called “passing.”

I didn't know for a long time that Warren Beatty and Shirley MacLaine were brother and sister. Blew my mind when I found out.

Rewatching classic movies and learned:
“The Swimmer” - Burt Lancaster used to perform in the circus as an acrobat before being discovered

To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee, (Nelle Harper Lee), modeled the neighbor boy Dill after Truman Capote. He lived next door in childhood. They played together and even shared Lee’s typewriter. Capote later went on to write his first book, Other Voices, Other Rooms, and has a tomboy character resembling Lee.

For my Bollywood fans out there-

24 years ago there was a major sex trafficking raid in Mumbai, 128 women were from Nepal and many didn't have papers to prove there Nepali citizenship so their government did not know if they could bring them home. Sunil Shetty heard this news and arranged a flight and paid for all 128 women to be able to return home. He never wanted it mentioned anywhere in the media for the safety of the women.

The reason we know now is because one of the women who started an NGO for women and sex trafficking told the media because she wanted him to have some recognition for the lives he helped change.
