| OP, if I were you, I'd worry about learning how to write instead of what kind of nails everyone else is wearing. Lack of grammar and spelling is a much bigger tell that you're not upper class. |

UC. Worth $10 million.
Since my first pregnancy, I rarely paint my nails. It’s toxic, especially the fake long ones. I don’t see why women value applying toxins to their body in general. It’s weird if you really think about it. Men apply way way less toxins to their body. |

I am skipping to the end of this thread to raise something new, sorry if it has nothing to do with the rest but I need help. I do not like painting my nails for several inconsequential reasons. However I have started to use gel polish and this nail polish powder stuff to make my nails harder. Reason: I have one nail with a vertical weak spot, so along the length of the nail. No matter how short and trimmed and filed my nails were, it kept catching on stuff and tearing. It was very painful.
Does anyone have a solution that does not involve going to the salon and getting my nails done? Thanks! |
Gel nail wraps. I use Ohora brand. They work great but there is a learning curve. The first couple of sets you do won’t look perfect but stick with it. |
| My daughter has gifted me a bottle of Chanel nail polish for Christmas every year since she was five. I get a manicure a few times a year and use the polish. I don't really give a S*&% what people think because (1) it's pretty and (2) it's a gift from my kid. I'm UMC and an attorney. Nobody thinks less of me because I have purple nails. In fact, I get a lot of compliments. DC is so conservative and weird. Just do what you want. |
Love this. What colors are you wearing this Fall? |
Peridot, which is a gold/green. I'm not sure Chanel males it anymore. Oiseau de nuit, which is a flat purple/brown My go-to is Shantung, which is a pretty red. I'm not sure it's the polish or my manicurist, but my nails typically stay chip-free for more than a week. |
Thank you for sharing. Will def look into those 💅🏾 |
| I am UMC. I think most nail polish, is, in fact, tacky. I either wear clear or a milky white on my hands and a white or red on my toes. I think nail polish unless it's very subtle makes the hands/nails look dirty. Plus I work with my hands constantly and I would hate to deal with the constant upkeep of most nail polishes. I also believe that nail polish is toxic, and so I only wear organic/nontoxic brands like Tenoverten or Zoya. |
Another one who confuses a little bit of new money for class. |

Lol NO.
When have you ever seen a classy professional women wearing fake long nails? It doesn't happen. |
The question wasn't about fake nails. It was about nail polish. One doesn't need to have long or fake nails to use polish. |

I agree too. Although my net worth is far higher than yours *blushes* |
