Mass shooting at New Zealand mosque

This is also interesting:

4:46 PM — (AP) — A senior Turkish official says the suspect arrested in the New Zealand mosque attack travelled to Turkey multiple times and spent what the official called an “extended period of time in the country.

He says the suspect may have also travelled to countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. The official spoke on condition of anonymity in line with Turkish government rules. The official says an investigation is underway of “the suspect’s movements and contacts within the country.”

OK now will you all admit it’s a white power symbol?

Heartbreaking that the white nationalist opened fire when the first thing said to him was “welcome brother.”

Wow, I'm sure he's totally NOT a convert, doing his part in an inter-sectarian conflict.

/sarcasm

Seriously though, has anyone checked yet to see yet if the mosques that were attacked are currently or have in the past been engaged in some kind of fued or schism with another branch within the sect?

he's a white nationalist. They are neither conservative nor liberal in their political ideology. They are more like the Nazis in their beliefs - white power, and all that sh1t; and that immigrants (Jews) are the problem.

That doesn't seem to be the case. He was dressed all in black and his views were leaning more towards his past communist beliefs, railing on about corporations, climate change, overpopulation, etc. He wanted to foment discord. He was not alone either, so I'll wait to see who his despicable cronies are.

He called himself an ecofascist, and his primary justification sounded far-left environmentalist, like the ecoterrorists in Europe in the 70s and 80s.

His primary justification was that non-European immigrants were having too many babies. He has nothing in common with the ecoterrorists in Europe. Just like the Pittsburgh synagogue shooter, he was motivated by hatred towards non-white immigrants.

Last time I checked, the 11 victims at Tree of Life were white and all were born in the US.

Last time I checked anti-Semites don't consider Jews to be white. Moreover, he attacked Jews because he believed they were funding the migrant caravans. If you would bother to pick up a newspaper, you might now this stuff.

And last I checked (this morning when I opened my eyes and looked at my wife), Ashkenazi Jews were *definitely* white. As white as any other people from northeastern Europe.

It's odd to me that you can suppose you understand so succinctly how white supremacists view the world, without actually BEING a white supremacist. You're either out of your depth, OR you're more of a white supremacist than you realize.

Which is it?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2018/11/01/how-trumps-immigrant-bashing-feeds-white-supremacists-obsession-with-jews/

“When prominent Republicans warn that a powerful Jew is secretly funding an invasion by foreigners, it doesn’t matter how many Jewish grandchildren the president has — Trump and his party are fueling anti-Semitic conspiracy theories of the sort that the suspect in the Pittsburgh shooting posted on social media just before he walked into Tree of Life synagogue on Saturday.”

“When white nationalist marchers in Charlottesville chanted, “Jews will not replace us,” they weren’t referencing a sudden plague of Jewish body-snatchers, seeking to take over their lives. They were referencing the theory they regarded as truth: That Jews are engineering a “genocide” of the white race through immigration. Close Trump ally Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) has gestured toward this theory as well, tweeting that “Cultural suicide by demographic transformation must end.””

It is really amazing how obtuse posters like you are. I have the ability to read and listen. All you have to do is read what anti-Semites write or listen to what they say to know they do not consider Jews to be white. When they shout “white power” do you think they are including Jews? This has nothing to do with how you or I perceive Jews.

And, once again, for the slow learners, the killer attacked the synagogue because he believed Jews were funding migration by non-white immigrants. This was very well-documented and I’m surprised so many of you are unaware of it.

From his manifesto:

“For once, the person that will be called a fascist, is an actual fascist, I am sure the journalists will love that,” he wrote. “I mostly agree with Sir Oswald Mosley’s views and consider myself an eco-fascist. The nation with the closest political and social values to my own is the People’s Republic of China.”

China is currently holding more than a million Muslims in concentration camps and “rehabilitating” them. That probably appeals to him.

Yep. Again, since there were multiple shooters and he gave multiple in-depth reasons for the shooting, including being a huge sympathizer of communism, forgive me if I don't blame conservatives OR Donald Trump for what happened. You be you though.

Exactly my point. Communism and Socialism are the greatest killers of freedom and the individual. Mao, Stalin and Hitler make my point.

Unless....a powerful, rich, Jewish man (who doesn't really consider himself Jewish, btw) is indeed, helping to fund the caravans through donations to the leftist groups that are directly involved. That's simply called truth, and can be proven through easy research.

As I Jew myself, yes, I look in the mirror and see a white European starting back. Neo-Nazis don't consider us white because the first step on the path to murder is de-humanizing an individual.

As a Jew, I'm very aware of it, and sadly, there is truth to it. And this man saw those individuals like Hitler and co saw the Jews - poised to take over the country. All that means is that white supremacists are fearful, angry, dangerous people. The problem comes in when liberals and leftists equate conservatives, republicans, the President, his family, and his staff with white supremacists.

It doesn't help that the American people were lied to for years about the number of illegal immigrants in this country and the amount of money they cost American taxpayers, when American could see it with their own eyes, and feel it in their wallets. That just feeds the evils of white supremacy. That's what is also going on in Europe. Government denied attacks by recent immigrants there and the people learned not to trust government anymore. That brings the murderous crazies out of the woodwork, who feel they need to 'take care of business' themselves.

He definitely was a loonie leftie when you break down his manifesto. He went after Muslims because he saw them as overpopulation machines, which was dangerous to the earth, and therefore must be eliminated. A far right wing individual would have not given that reason.
