Where does this notion come from that wealthy people don't drive nice cars?

There are def flashier cars in the Miami area than the DC area, for example. I'm not sure Miami area is overall a richer city than DC area but maybe you can fact check me on that. I really don't actually know for sure.

How?? I’m in VA and it doesn’t show how much is on my mortgage. In fact it says I pay 6k a month and I pay $1k.

You can even see a birds-eye view of a property over many years on the property tax website. It's like the movie Time Machine.

I don’t think that’s accurate on mortgages but in Maryland you can use the land records.

Virginia property tax site shows how much your mortgage was when you took it out. Doesn’t show the remaining balance though.

People who know anything about cars know that an F150 with all the trappings will run you $75k-$100k. The folks where these trucks are prevalent know this.

This is why the thread is strange. New money tech millionaires also aren’t driving Hondas…they are driving Rivians (Tesla has definitely fallen out of favor) or similar $75k+ electric cars…or if living and working in SF proper may not own a car at all.

I honestly don’t know anyone who thinks BMW or Audi or Mercedes is an overall luxury brand since they sell many models cheaper than the cars above…though they do have certain models well over $100k.

So true. Should have elaborated. Most millionaires in this country over the age of 50 are driving trucks that are at least 8 years old.

For Homes.com — Scroll further down the page for a specific house, it’s in a separate section literally called “Mortgage History” and I’ve found almost every house in MD and VA I look up has it listed - unless there’s never been a mortgage on the property for any owner, in which case that section is missing on the page. DC I’ve found is more hit or miss.
