| Taylor's behavior with regards to Mink is bizarre. The letter was clearly directed at her, yet she seems to have been following the procedures he described. Not to mention, so passive aggressive. Like when the boss sends out an email to the whole team about an issue specific to one person without naming them. Grow up, Taylor. |
Taylor commits many unforced errors. Thank God for that as it will hasten his exit. |
You are full of it Essie. The community knows BS when we see it. Move along. |

Not Essie. What is BS about it? You don't want schools to have visitor protocols? |
They do have protocols which Mink was apparently following. |
First, his letter was absolutely “kind.” Nothing unkind about it. Second, he very well may have had a personal conversation that did not lead to the desired result, which necessitated the letter. Third, Mink is certainly not the only person engaged in trying to provide information on policy and procedure to staff and families. She is just the most high profile one. Fourth, his letter was NOT solely about that issue. It provided a holistic status of how MCPS is dealing with the environment from a few angles. It would not have made sense to send a letter without including this part. |
But not everyone was following them, and now there are revised protocols, which he was sharing via this letter. "We have made a few updates to account for the world as it is today. Linked here are our updated protocols for school visits and tours, which include a Google form to ensure full awareness and documentation of visitors in our schools or on school grounds. While informal visits may have become commonplace, it is particularly imperative now that we reiterate and reinforce this standing policy." |
He addressed the letter to "Elected Officials". If MCPS has protocols regarding visits, as they do and should, it is up to MCPS staff to follow them. Why did he address elected officials and who wasn't following the protocols? Whoever you are you are just digging yourself deeper with this incoherent defense of Taylor. |
| This really didn't need to be a public letter. Taylor just wants to swing his dick around |
Um, the letter he sent references and links to a letter sent to the Council under the PRIOR superintendent about those protocols. This wasn’t novel or inappropriate. |
How do you think it became a “public letter”? Taylor didn’t release it. |
The tone and content of that prior memo is appropriate. His letter is all over the place. |
Thanks for sharing that, CO staff member. It"s Saturday night, relax, take some time off, maybe the problem is you are burnt out and that is why MCPS's public communications are such a sh&t show |
