I agree, but whenever people make these suggestions, the haters shout them down. "Bernie is too extreme! Schumer is a pipe dream! Pete has no experience!" It's like the old guard wants to lose as long as they can continue to call ALL the shots.

Bernie IS too extreme. Schumer isn't anyone's pipe dream. Pete didn't get anywhere the last time he tried to run for president. Are you desperate to lose? I am not desperate to lose.

The Dems are going to eventually lose from voter apathy across the youth. We had record highs in 2020 from promises that were actually kept. It'd be great if Biden would say 1 thing for youth voters. Young liberals do not care about immigration. Their entry level roles are not competing with immigrant labor and they don't fear their undocumented friends that they grew up with. They do have stake on the economy going well, but many have gotten the message from tiktok that the president doesn't control that. Gun control is completely axed and they hate the supreme court. Anything with the climate is brownie points for this generation, just seriously give them a reason. They don't do the patriotic "unity" crap, it is just not convincing to a nihilistic cohort. Housing reform would have young voters shoot up with excitement, even if its an empty promise.

Young people don't like Bernie anymore either. They think he's too pro-Israeli - and he's totally invisible anymore. That big platform he had, and what's he used it for? So, good luck.

Dems will be shit out of luck in 10 years. Their younger base just doesn't agree with the direction of the party.

The democrats brought this on themselves by putting forth the likes of Biden and Harris. Get ready for Trump to Make America Great Again, again!

She would be a great Vice Presidential candidate. As long as she would agree to let the actual professionals run the government. I would trust her more than Oprah, because she has more humility.

They don't believe in the direction of the Repubs either. Like I said earlier, they will float out a Bernie type candidate.

The Republicans brought this current crisis into reality by choosing Trump instead on one of the other candidates, who could at least be possibly sane.

Younger people should get involved in the party, then, and put forward some better candidates.

I mean, when they do, they are "radicals" and "progressive left wing wokies," so I am not sure they want to support the establishment much. Let's remember that the DNC tries its hardest to fund against all members of Congress similar to the "squad" or justice dems.

The answer to that question would require removing Biden as the current President and having President Harris.

So the answer to the question is Kamala Harris.

Not if you actually want to win. Considering that this election is the dividing line between democracy and autocracy - she, and her friends, need to put their egos aside and do what's best for the country.

Maybe Kamala and Pence can run together on a third party ticket.

You are going to ignore the sitting President, Kamala Harris, and have a different nominee?

If Taylor Swift would run, she’d win in a landslide.

Not PP but Exactly! Dems never let progressives in the reigns but want them to sit idly with no representation. It's such a stupid strategy when so much of your upcoming voter base need strong progressives to lead them and will not settle for moderate candidates.

Schumer and Pete aren't ideal candidates but they are obviously better than Trump or Biden. Bernie is older than Biden so no. The only losers at this point are people that think Trump or Biden are our best options for POTUS until 2029.

Schumer and Pete both share the liability of being a big "wow!" announcement that fizzles. Sorry of like Desantis was for the right. But I think their natural magnetism coupled by the unusual circumstances of this year's election temper those concerns.

Personally, with Schumer, I think you get equal parts steak and sizzle. With Pete, you get a dash less sizzle but much less steak.

There's no sizzle or steak with either of them. FFS get your heads out of your NY/LA asses. PA, MI, WI and AZ are the ONLY states that matter. If someone does not appeal to those states more than old man Biden and Harris then there is no point and you need to circle the wagons around Joe.

Just about anyone with a pulse is more appealing than Biden in all states at this point. Get your head out of the sand or else the blood of a second Trump term will be on your hands.

My head is not in the sand. Schumer, Harris, and Buttigieg are all less electable than Weekend at Bernie's Joe. It's a freakin nightmarish joke that people even suggest them in good faith.

Yes—it’s like democrats hate themselves. Why not run Dukakis? He’s the only one that might get Les votes.

The answer is as follows: Whitmer with either Booker or Allred as VP. Booker had more name recognition and is a better puncher, but Allred is incredibly likeable and camera ready and would pick up steam quickly. Harris gets her pick of the ninth circuit or AG. Hunter gets pardoned. Everyone is happy.

Obama wants another term. By re-electing Biden.

I am pretty sure it is Jill pulling the puppet strings, not Obama. She is committed elder abuse at the highest degree by not allowing him to drop out. How do you not see this?

Maybe she doesn't want him home and having to make his lunch, lol

Top Dems came out of conference 3 hours ago. There will be no replacement. Focus now is on propping up downstream candidates. I am so disappointed in the party.

Is there any way to show support (including $$) for the replace Biden movement? I guess donating to the DNC wouldn't work since they'll just hand it to Biden. Has anyone made lawn signs yet? I'd buy one of those.
