I can't begin to comprehend the sick, twisted mind that 1) thought this act of cruelty to defenseless animals was OK (or legal) and 2) thought she would be given credit or even praised for it by publicizing it in her book.
No licensed veterinarian would euthanize a healthy young dog. Period. Any vet would tell the owner to give the dog back to the breeder or to a shelter. Dogs are only euthanized when they are terminally ill or are exceptionally vicious or a court orders that the animal is too dangerous and should be euthanized. An unleashed bird dog who killed a couple of chickens does not fall into any of those categories.

I keep looking at my own pets, and at the dogs I see out walking. There is so much love between these animals and their people. I love my pets with my whole heart. I've spent countless dollars trying to improve and preserve their lives.

I just cannot imagine being so broken and cruel as to shoot them in the face because they misbehaved.

And to think of their precious bodies after they pass. When we put our beloved dogs down, paying extra to have to vet come to our home. Feeding them their favorite foods the days leading up to “that” appointment. Then taking their body away. Knowing you’ll never see them again. Crying as I write this a recollect.
