I was only vaguely suspicious, or so I thought. And said to myself, if nothing comes of this then I'll consider myself crazy because there are no signs.
I wasn't crazy. Trust your gut ppl.

Not the only time he was with another woman.

Odds don't work that way.

let's just say I know.

Fast forward 2 years and I met my now DH and weekend fling dude is DH's lifelong best friend since preschool. I was fully prepared to tell DH when we talked about our sexual histories or number of partners, but here we are married and over 20 years later and we've never talked about any of that so it hasn't come up organically and now I feel like I'm in way too deep to ever disclose that. Friend and I have also never spoke of it since I re-met him as DH's friend.

But DH's friend thinks about it EVERY time you guys hang out. EVERY. TIME.

For 20 years? You have read too many romance novels.

The guy is not 14. And they undoubtedly look very different now.

And he knows the woman now. Flings with new people are so exciting, in part, because you can project any personality/future you want onto them.

Umm and then what happened?

Had super strict parents. Secretly on a lot of solo travel (as a woman), including to Canada & Mexico in my late teens & early 20s that there is absolutely no chance my parents would’ve approved of. I was broke so took Greyhound buses, cheapest possible flights, hitchhiking & occasionally Amtrak. I told my parents I was doing an internship one summer of college. That wasn’t true.

I’ve had countless cavities. I have to get fillings yearly.

I like to think I am fit & healthy otherwise.

I had one and the same circumstances in 2020 and I feel a lot of complicated feelings about it. Mostly regret. I wish I could get to a place of feeling like it was the right choice. I know intellectually it was.

There's a whole culture devoted to trying to make you feel guilty about it. No surprise that they've gotten into your head.

I’m the first poster who posted about my experience. I’m sorry your feelings are complicated. It’s ok to emotionally not feel like it was the right choice. I mean, I would love to have a pack of kids. Hang in there. I hope it gets easier for you.

Thank you (this is the PP). This is such a kind response.

I have been friends with a man for 30 years. He went to high school with my brother. My family and friends all know him and love him. For the past 25 years, we have been sleeping together. He's been married for 20 years, and she knows and allows it. We see each other every other month privately. Only my sister knows.

What is your situation? What is in this for you?

I am divorced. What's in it for me... multiple orgasms, conversation, laughter. He's the best I've ever had. I don't want a relationship. I've longed since realized the above are the only things we can give each other.

I have a kid whom I gave birth to in college who was raised by her father. I adamantly didn’t want the kid, he did, so we mutually agreed to this arrangement. I’ve paid CS for going on 17 years.

That guy should lose his license.

Totally against all codes of professional ethics!
