I am moving to McLean very shortly.
As such, I am looking for ytour best and favorite restaurants for all the main cooking styles. And yes, this would also include the take-out places. Looking for Burger, steaks, Italian, American, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, etc. TIA! |

Joe's Burgers for burgers
J Gilberts for steaks Pulcinella for family Italian and takeout. Also our favorite pizza. Tachibana for authentic Japanese and takeout (Just discovered Ichiban which is surprisingly nice). Chinese we only do industrial park take out (China Express on Tyco road) and that's almost never. Neisha Thai at Tysons Corner Center ("the mall") for takeout Woo Lae Oak at Rt123/Rt 7 for authentic Korean That said, I hope you didn't buy in McLean for its fine cuisine. Welcome! |
| LOL! We bought there for several reasons, but chow was not one of them! Thx |
|
McLean Pizza for pizza/gyros.
Ichiban or Tachibana for sushi. Most restaurants in McLean are lousy, frankly. Don't know why, though. Wish we had better ones. Don't eat at the Thai place on Dolly Madison, it's the worst place in McLean. Sweet Leaf is decent for salads/sandwiches. Star Nut is nice to sit outside for coffee or a glass of wine. |
| Evo Bistro for date night. |
To clarify: like a Friday night low key date or out with friends. Not a celebration date or if you only get out once every 6 months. |
| We like the pizza at Lost Dog Cafe. |

| China Kingdom on Old Dominion has above decent Chinese food. Also fans of Lost Dog since they are one of the few places that deliver. Mylo's also on Old Dominion has great burgers, souvlaki, kids food. Red Tomato has good pizza (as if Mclean needs yet ANOTHER pizza place) and salads and delivers as well. Absolute Thai is good. We love Jason's Deli for the kids. Date night -- head into the city or Clarendon! |
Yep, yep, yep. Is Absolute Thai the place next to Evo's? If so, it's the worst I've had. If it's not, I need to find it! |
