Georgetown- question about maternity rooms

Anonymous
Does anyone know the set-up for maternity (post-delivery) rooms at Georgetown? Are they all private rooms? Is there anywhere for a guest to sleep overnight with you?

The vast majority are private - I think that there are 2 shared rooms and they try not to use those unless they're totally full. There is a pull out chair for a partner to sleep... although I will warn you that I still hear about how uncomfortable that chair is from DH (uh, hello? I just gave birth. You can deal with a not-so-comfy chair).

I thought all the rooms were private, but perhaps the PP is right. In any case, I had a private room and did not get charged extra (I hear that's what they do at Sibley). There are pull-out chairs both in L&D and maternity, not very comfortable according to DH. (On a side note to PP, I thought DH had quite a nerve to tell me that he needed rest after spending the night in L&D watching me go through labor. "I had a rough night" he said. Well what about me, having gone through labor and an emergency c-section!!!)

There are two shared rooms but as far as I know they are only used as singles ... it's not as busy as Sibley.
