Who has used electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes?

My pulmonologist recommended I try electronic cigarettes (to quit smoking real cigarettes) - anyone try these, and if so, what is your review on the flavor, etc? I am considering buying Greensmoke brand (red label). And please, I am not looking for any responses about why I should not use electronic cigarettes (as a licensed pulmonologist, a medical expert in these things, recommended that I use them for certain reasons).
