I think we should allow opt out for all sexual meds

Polls show people are OK with employers opting out of birth control coverage.

So I think, let's grant an employer the right to opt out of ALL sexual related prescriptions - because some of it might be used for non-marital, non-procreational sex. So no more BC means no more Viagra.

Let's hitch our star to the Viagra wagon. I'm betting somehow that our male lawmakers won't like that very much.

OP, I understand the impulse to retaliate, but I'm not sure how doing so advances your goal of getting wider coverage of birth control. So, while the legislation requiring cardiac exams and all the rest before an Rx are funny as well and points well-made, if you succeed in achieving that you haven't exactly advocated for choice, have you?

That's the point, OP. This effort WON'T succeed -- because, like you, all male lawmakers laugh when someone suggests requiring men to undergo "education" prior to making a health decision.

OP, I agree that nobody should be forced to take ANY meds, but I don't think SOMEONE ELSE should be able to opt ME out on the basis of THEIR beliefs. The money spent on insurance is part of MY compensation; it's not THEIR money!

I'm not laughing.

I'm saying it's a puerile and ineffective strategy.

What do you want, to win points, or to win?

The money they pay towards your health insurance is not their money?

How is it puerile? It's the exact same thing male lawmakers are doing when they require women to take unnecessary tests and read/listen to "education" before making a health care decision.

You seriously don't get that, do you?
