except had one FSH level at 10.2, but I responded very well to clomid. Slight male factor only related to morphology.

Starting an IVF cycle. terrified! Send me positive stories! thanks

That sounds like us-- probably started with IUIs around 34, did natural cycle IVF with ICSI at 35, and fortunately (!) it worked (I think we had three embryos, transferred two, and one made it).

good luck!!

What clinics do natural IVF. How does that work exactly?

How long did you TTC naturally?

I have two good friends who conceived through IVF after trying multiple IUI's. I have one friend who conceived on her 5th or 6th IUI while talking clomid.

I think you likely have a great chance.

OP here. We tried TTC naturally for about a year. Then did 2 clomid IUI cycles, all negative. starting first IVF now

OP, you sound like me. I was 33 when I started, no diagnosis on my side, morphology issues on my husbands. Three IUIs didn't work (I think our male factor may be worse than yours), but IVF worked pretty much right away. First cycle I got a BFP, but had a miscarriage. Followed up with a FET that is now an energetic 2.5 year old.

I'm now pregnant with a second IVF baby, although this time around at 36 it was harder because I now have low ovarian reserve and was a poor responder to the meds. (But it worked in the end! The baby is 5 days overdue...)

OP why are you so terrified and lacking in hope? You haven't even tried IVF yet, right? Until you have several failed cycles under your belt, why not have hope?

Good luck and lots of baby dust being sent your way OP.

Dont give up hope! I have a friend your age who tried TTC for two years naturally, then IUI's, then finally on her 4th round of IVF she got pregnant with her baby! I hope things work out in your favor and best of luck!

Started at 32.5 did 3 IUIs with clomid. Was waiting to start IVF when I got pregnant on my own at 34.5. Had the baby at 35.5.

Good luck!! Hang in there.

I agree with 15:41. There is always hope, until there is no more hope, and no mor insurance money. If you haven't even tried IVF yet, well, with all due respect to many of the other posters here, you really haven't even scratched the surface on things yet. When they were putting the egss back in my wife, she could actually watch a screen of them doing it. The one tech kept losing one of the eggs. STRESS!!! But, I know it is easy to say, and harder to do, but try and keep an even keel. This seems to be a long test of sorts. Of what, I am not sure - determination? resilience? who knows? Ya just need to approach each issue and do your best. I think you will get there!

OP- i think it is fine and normal if you are feeling scared/nervous about your first IVF cycle. It is scary, but stay full of hope. And as for all of us that have been through this several times, let's remember how nerve wrecking this process was, especailly the first time. Good luck OP!
