kindergartener's backpack

Anonymous
dc is going to kindergarten next month. while I am planing to get some school supply for her, one thing came up to me: what kind of back pack she needs , what she going to put in her backpack? the regular one seems too big, but she refuse those smaller one that she used for pre-school and called it is for baby. the school she will be attending doesn't have homework for k and 1st grader.

any suggestion? where you would go to buy a right size?

Check the materials supply list that your school might send out (or post online).

For our MoCo public school, they requested a backpack (non-wheeled) big enough for a folder. Land's End has backpacks sized for 4-7-year-olds (which I think are big enough).

LL bean has all sorts of backpacks and will monogram them for a small sum.

I got the Land's end one, and we are happy with it. They sell an even smaller one for preschoolers which might work for K.

I bought the junior-size Original LL Bean back pack for my kindergartener last year. It was the perfect size for holding what came home from school and it fit my child well.
