stomach after pregnancy

I know this topic has been covered a lot, but I'd love thoughts:

I can a little diastis recti (or however you say it)- self-diagnosed, I can put maybe 1.5 fingers in the widest part. My OB & GP both seemed to think it wasn't an issue, and I actually *think* the gap has narrowed-- I gave birth 10 months ago.

I'm afraid to do situps though with all the talk about how normal situps can make the gap bigger. Do I need to be worried?

if you can afford it time/money wise, try a few sessions with a pilates instructor. they will show you how to properly exercise the abs. I recommend quantum pilates in dupont circle if that's near you.

Before pilates you should consult with a physical therapist.
