Have you ever heard as simple-minded a description of slavery? It would be laughable except for the fact that there are probaby a lor of followers who will believe that affirmative action is equivalent to slavery.

I agree with you. Fairly conservative voter here, and I've always found her immensely annoying. At her age (really, at any age), the whole winking and "you betcha" personality that she brings to an interview makes me want to turn off the tv every time--not to mention her tendency to talk in circles without really communicating anything meaningful. I think she's very attractive for her age (pretty skin and looks great in a suit) but have never understood her popularity.

It is tortuous to try to make sense of her "answers" and try to wring actual substance from them. Was she trying to say that Obama is in favor of a return to slavery? Huh?

I love how somehow the Civil War changed the country so that we cared about equality for all. Uh, does she know anything about Jim Crow, anti-Semitism, anti-Catholicism, the exploitation of industrial workers, and the fact that women didn't get the vote until 1920, among others?
