Examples of my work? Well a good troll never shares his work, or admits to it. I'm sure your admin can look it up by IP, if you are so interested 
Do I do it to get a rise out of people? Well, that's a bit more complicated. I do my 'work' to get people riled up, and that's part of my motivation, but I also do it in the hopes that someone reads it, and laughs at all the people taking it seriously. I'm not a troll who does it for sheer malice, I try to make sure that there is some comedy in there, and that its something a poster would look over a second time after writing a reply and say 'Oh, why didn't I get that'. I'm also not one of those awful trolls who use their trolling for disgusting purposes. My example would be the women who posted about how her older child was molested her younger one. Of course a bunch of people posted their own horrific stories yadda yadda yadda... You get the point. That troll was probably trying to satisfy some sadistic rape-fantasy, possibly a pedophillic one. That's not me, and I hate those types- they give all of us trolls a bad name. For the person who asked "What personal deficiency are you overcompensating for?", I am not overcompensating for any personal deficiency, except maybe boredom. "Do trolls wear shoes?" Why yes, I also do community service and have a job. |

Love it! And so true. The thing is, Troll, you may think you're funny, but the rest of us think you're a PITA. First question: Why do you post that you do it "so somebody else will get it and think it's funny"? Because we don't. This leads to the follow-on question, which is, why do you delude yourself ito thinking you're incredibly witty and funny? Because you're not. |

I don't troll but I can appreciate a funny troll, sort of. But the thing is, people who don't get it really get abused on those posts. Let's say you were the troll who is always posting about her friend who just HAD to take her newborn to The Palm, who nurses in public, and basically is a huge pain who can't leave her baby. You may not have meant that, but it just provokes some other sucker to take shots at the other side. And if you open the thread, and are gullible enough to take part, you end up leaving with a pretty bad taste in your mouth for other human beings. So while that might be a little bit funny to work people up, do you ever think about the fact that real people are coming away with hurt feelings? That even if they don't just "fall for it," they still might get hit by the cross fire, with barbs that they end up slinging at one another?
Another question is: are you a man? and, if so, do you dislike women? Is that part of it, to get "the ladies" all fired up at one another? Honestly, I think it's damaging. |
