We are expecting our first child, a girl, in mid-October and I am looking for good baby nurse or postpartum doula help once I return from the hospital.
Any suggestions or recommendations? Looking for someone very caring, patient and certified in infant care and postpartum maternal care. |
You should call Gail Elam at (240) 274-9495. Gail is a very experienced baby nurse and she also has a group of baby nurses that work with her if she is not available. I am not exactly sure what types of certifications you are referring to but Gail has been working with newborns for over 20 years and has personally trained all of the nurses she works with. Gail's approach is to get the babies on a schedule and to educate the parents to ensure that they can keep up with her program once she leaves. She is wonderful and can get any baby off to a great start. |
What areas does Gail work in? Does she come out to the Ashburn area? Anyone know of someone who does? |
www.momese.com is also a program that offers this service. I cannot comment on the quality of their services though because I haven't used them, but considering doing so. |
I really liked Pam Ferinde:
