I hate doing my taxes!!!

It makes me so mad. I actually don't mind paying them and want to do them honestly, but it is so hard! Ours are kind of complicated because my husband has a small side business where he gets 1099s and W2s from multiple states. We can figure out the federal taxes with the help of turbo tax, but the state taxes are impossible with all the reciprocal agreements and estimated tax stuff. If there was just some way to ask a question, it would really help.

Anyone else think it's ridiculous that someone who honestly just wants to fill out and pay their taxes honestly on their own can't find out how to do it? A few years ago we hired someone and it was $750!!! We can not afford that on our $75,000 a year income.

You just need to budget the money to pay a CPA.

I'm with you! I find this infuriating. Maybe it's the CPA/Tax Attorney lobbies who keep the tax code so ridiculously complicated. They want to keep their jobs.
