How do you go about renting a beach house?
For 2 families for memorial day wknd - want it in s nice place where there is more to do than just beach... St Michaels? Bethany? |

| Outer Banks is nice for families. Call or google Corolla Classic Vacations and look at houses in Corolla or Duck..... |

For this year, you're probably going to have slim pickings for Memorial Day weekend. Most rental companies open up rentals a year in advance and the "good" weeks/weekends in the good places get scooped up fast.
I am not sure there is much beach in St Michaels. For kids, there is more to do in Ocean City, Bethany, or Rehobeth. |

St. Michaels is about boating, crabs, quaint shops and architecture, good restaurants and especially the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, which is excellent. They also have nice B&Bs there. No beaches, except the tiny tidal kind you might find along the edge of the marsh. Oxford has a little river beach area called 'The Strand," and a cute park with a playground with a view of the Choptank, and a few restaurants. Lots of marinas in both towns. Best dining is at Mason's, in Easton.
