| Sometimes park police patrol that area on horseback. I've seen them several times in Glover Park, where I live. Used to see them around AU when I was there for grad school. |

| My office is on 19th Street south of dupont circle and every so often I hear the park service police "clip clop clip clop" down the street on their horses. I always find it cool! |

| We are pretty for from the entrance to Archibold--over a mile at least. What would the guy do if he saw a perp up to no good? Don't horses just slide like crazy on pavement. And isn't extended walking on pavement really hard on their hooves. I'm just going by what I've learned on that 70's show "McCloud". |
