how long to cupcakes last

I'm a real flunky at party planning.

My father's birthday party is next week (Weds.) I have to go pick up my son and get him to go to my father's, something he hates to do. It would makes my life a lot easier to pick up cupcakes this weekend, and have them already in the car before picking up my son. Will they last that long (4 days)?

No way. Pick them up the day before at the earliest. Of course they will be freshest the same day you buy them.

definitely not. they'll dry out. you could probably freeze them though.
