Outdoor kitchen

Does anyone here has a full outdoor kitchen? I used to notice a lot of outdoor kitchen in my friends beach-home area but not so much here. What gives?

Where are you OP? Some areas do not allow it. I don't know that it is worth it in most places (including here) with the exception of maybe southern california?

Very expensive to keep up with our weather. The combination of high heat/humidity in summer and snow in the winter (not too many places have both) make the wear and tear on even SS very expensive. You need to invest in good weather protection or you'll pay not only big time when you install it, but every year or two to maintain the equipment. I had equipment, but it was a lot more work and expense to keep it in decent shape and usable than it was worth for the tiny window of time that it was comfortable to use it.

Did you use regular equipment or you had to buy special equipment?

I love outdoor kitchens, but they're not worth it in this area where it's often too cold or too hot and humid to use and enjoy.

I agree. The fantasy of spending a lot of time outdoors in nice weather doesn't come true here as the humidity, heat and bugs make it very unpleasant.

OMG. *salivating* Eventually, one night I will have to much to drink while on DCUM and will post pictures of ours and all my friends and neighbors who have eaten roasted pig in my backyard will know I'm on DCUM. If you roast everything you eat as I do and have relatives/friends who make a pilgrimage to your home each fall/winter/spring to make, smoke and eat sausage, these outdoor set ups are heaven. Mine is not as fancy as these, but every year, it gets more elaborate.

You have to be willing to do it in the fall/winter and spring. From late June until the end of October outdoors in DC is unbearable, it's true. This winter we cooked outside at least twice a week.
