Do you suppose Bain Capital told him to stop because it's hurting its franchise or because it's hurting its candidate?

Apologizes?
For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke

Couldn't he at least say he regrets that he "chose the wrong words"? We all know he chose the wrong words; giving us an excuse for doing so is hardy an apology!

How can you tell he's lying?

His lips are moving.

He isn't sorry, he's just sorry he got called on his vile defamation and verbal diarrhea.

I recevied an apology like that once. The person was much more succint. They told me, "I regret your perception". Which is what Rush's lame apology boils down to.

So he thinks the "analogy" was correct, he just chose the wrong words???!!! Moron.

What are the odds that he would have apologized if his sponsors weren't bailing?

His only regret is losing money.

I think he's concerned about being sued for slander, or defamation of character.
his show is broadcast in every state in the country. In at least some I shoudl think it is illegal to call a woman a slut as he did, and slander her reputation. She wasn't a politician or celebrity who would have less expectation of privacy. She was a private person speaking at a forum. Calling her a slut as he did, and saying other things about her, could be seen as harming her professional reputation.

I wrote too soon, not seeing that he also wrote "I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices." Whether he is really sincere, I cannot judge, but I was certainly not fair to him. I am sincerely embarrassed about that, and apologize for ranting before reading the whole statement.
