Maybe ICE shouldn't be sticking their fingers where they don't belong.

Whether you like it or not that ICE are capturing and deporting illegal aliens, protesters are out of control. This is not a peaceful protest. It's 'insurrectiony'

I do think that it was a bad shot re: Pretti. I also can see how with all the whistles, screaming, pushing of ICE, etc, how they might be on a razor's edge. And that's how people get killed, sadly.

Stop making excuses.

Going after protesters isn't their job. And if they can't deal with a few protesters whistling and chanting without remaining professional instead of escalating, pepperspraying and SHOOTING people, then they aren't cut out for the job and need to resign or be fired.

Prior to Noem, ICE was able to do the job without escalation and behaving like a bunch of undisciplined, degenerate thugs.

There needs to be firings starting at the top until ICE is able to get its shit together.

Sounds like Steve is getting ICE’d out.

I call BS. Miller is running the White House. He’s writing the speeches, the policy, tell Trump what to do/say. He’s basically the president. But he knows he’s toxic so they are framing this as him being iced out. I won’t believe this until he’s in jail. Or the guillotine.

+1 it was crystal clear on the leaked signal chat that he’s the president.

Republicans in Congress are making Trump change course. I still think they support the concentration camps but are uncomfortable with white people getting shot. They’re still scumbags who need to be voted out!

Maybe. But as was pointed out by another commentator, the meeting centered around communications. It diod NOT center around policy. So the concern wasn't the policy it was the narrative and that is why Miller was absent. No policy change.

Some more info about the evil puppetmaster.

Noem is like the last person to understand that she is disposable and being thrown under the bus by Trump was written in the cards for her from the first second she hitched her wagon to Trump's star.

Not a smart person. She's headed back to whichever Dakota it is with no job and probably not a lot of prospects for future income. The right wing media ecosystem can only absorb so many idiot talking heads. Any they are pretty full.

Alex's ex-wife speaks out about him -- https://www.wbaltv.com/article/alex-pretti-killed-by-federal-officer-minneapolis/70123333

Pretti's ex-wife, Rachel N. Canoun, said she was not surprised he would have been involved in protesting Trump's immigration crackdown. She said she had not spoken to him since they divorced more than two years ago and she moved to another state.

She said he was a Democratic voter and that he had participated in the wave of street protests following the killing of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer in 2020, not far from the couple's neighborhood. She said they often livestreamed what was going on to social media. She described him as someone who might shout at law enforcement officers at a protest, but she had never known him to be physically confrontational.

"These kinds of things, you know, he felt the injustice to it," Canoun said. "So it doesn't surprise me that he would be involved."

Canoun said Pretti got a permit to carry a concealed firearm about three years ago and that he owned at least one semiautomatic handgun when they separated.

"He didn't carry it around me, because it made me uncomfortable," she said.

All murdered within the last month by ICE agents. People forget to include Porter (it might have something to do with him being Black), but he too was gunned down by an ICE agent on XMAS eve in LA.

Two out of three are LGTB. Is ICE purposely targeting members of this community?

It’s possible ICE targeted Pretti because of the earlier confrontation. I was wondering if one of the agents was there the week before and recognized him but of course they have a database so anyone can participate in retribution.

+1.

I’ll bet Miller planted this sad story to try to save his skin. You don’t embarrass the Don.

NEWS: White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller says officials are evaluating why Customs and Border Protection agents in Minneapolis “may not have been following” proper protocol before the fatal shooting of VA nurse Alex Pretti.
In a statement to CNN, Miller said the White House had “provided clear guidance to DHS that the extra personnel that had been sent to Minnesota for force protection should be used for conducting fugitive operations to create a physical barrier between the arrest teams and the disruptors.”
“We are evaluating why the CBP team may not have been following that protocol,” he said.

Was this...the first they had noticed they weren't "following that protocol"??

ICE is not doing this for self-protection. ICE is not doing this for crowd control. ICE is doing this because they are simply a bunch of thugs who enjoy inflicting pain and misery on others.

And how do you know it was an ICE truck?

Because it was a vehicle leaving an ICE raid filled with ICE agents? I know Trump loves the poorly educated but come on now.
