I have seen on line some no-frame back child carriers for hiking - we have one with a frame (REI brand) and like it but it is a pain to take along (on a plane). Can anybody recommend ergonomic back carrier suitable for hiking? How comfortable are they for the parent, and for the child?
thanks! |
| Kelty kids makes a great back pack carrier. We still use it on our 18 month old. It serves as a back pack when not in kid-carrying mode and is perfect for the plane for a carry-on. I think its very comfortable, but on long hikes my husband has complained that it is not "tall" enough for him. He is about 6 foot. |
| Don't know if this is helpful to you but the NYT did a comparison of hiking carriers a few weeks ago, I think in early July in the Style section. Should still be online. |
