If you're over 50, I don't think they do unless you are so skinny that you have no fat. Love handles and belly fat. Good news though is that our hips look smaller for the first time in our lives.

Some of that may just be skin that's beginning to sag. My best recommendations are to lower your carb intake and walk, jog, or do some kind of cardio at least 30 minutes daily.

You cannot "spot reduce," fat generally comes off in the reverse order from where it came on. Having children changed the pattern of where I carry weight, it used to arrive at my waist last and now it arrives there first.

Those internet ads about secrets to losing belly fat are links to huge webs of scams. I think the FTC fined a bunch of companies within the last year on that.

Eat less, especially carbs. Don't eat anything with corn syrup in it. Eat carrot sticks for snacks, or fruit if you need something sweet. Drink skim milk and eat plenty of protein. Eat plenty of fiber in fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Eat small portions and don't take seconds.

Exercise helps to firm your muscles, but I don't think it reduces fat as much as diet does.

Get a scale and weigh yourself the same time every day so you can monitor your progress.

1. run at least 15 miles a week

2. lipo

but yes, some of it is simply skin and that will not go away and indeed will get worse with each passing year. I go to a community pool several days a week and so am blessed with the opportunity to consider many naked women over the age of 60. Many of these women are slender, perhaps a size 6 or so. ALL of them, no matter how small their size, have considerable sagging skin in the mid section, boobs, upper arms, tushie, etc.

There are no hardbody octegenarians, people. This stuff is going to happen between age 35 and 85, slowly and certainly. If you're 50+, it's happening.

I ask him to go into the kitchen and please bring me back a beer.

...Thanks I'll be here all week!

Just kidding. There's not much I've tried that works. Excercise and diet keep things from getting too out there, but we're old. Fortunately, we like each other just the way we are.
